THE TRUTH
1 Jesus is the Son of God and is equal with God
John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Mark 3:11 “And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.”
2 Jesus lived a perfect life, He never sinned
Hebrews 4:15 “For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
John 8:29 “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
3 Jesus was crucified to pay the penalty for our sins
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Matthew 26:28 “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
4 Jesus rose from the dead on third day of His death on the cross
Luke 24:46 “And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:”
Mark 16:6 “And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.”
5 We are saved by the grace of God; that means that we cannot add to or take away from Christ’s finished work on the cross, which is the full payment for our sins
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
